The Apex Legends gun metagame has been bumped around again in Season 6, due to a few changes from Respawn; the Volt SMG was finally released in late August, and the notorious R-99 was “vaulted” into care package drops. While the R4-C used to be the must-have primary for Ash, after losing its ACOG, some players have swapped to the slightly weaker G34C just to have the 2x scope. Otherwise, most other snipers are better. The R-99 finally had its reign of terror brought to an end, kind of, when it was bundled into the care package heading into Season 6.
