This one is certainly up there with his best work, great for longtime fans and even for introducing newer people to his music (though I think his concerto is the best for that). "Poisoned Minds" is instantly recognizable and one of my favorites on the album, and Yngwie's singing doesn't hurt the song one bit. Das macht Yngwie auch so außergewöhnlich. This title will be released on October 30, 2020. Will be sending back. While he used to create interesting music in the '80s, where the singer and guitar playing would blend, this album is almost devoid of melodies in favor of fast guitar shredding...and Yngwie doing vocals on some songs (he's not the best here!).

I refused to pay $40 for the replicated copy... that's ridiculous for any CD. You are sure to enjoy your time with Spellbound as the music is known and loved by many. It is a good solid Yngwie Malmsteen album.

I've enjoyed them all and have listened to more Yngwie than any other artist in my entire collection. If you listen to these drums, you know that Yngwie is basically telling his drummers to play it like the machine whenever he composes a new song. Excellent and inspiring playing, as always, but I'd really love for Yngwie to break out of his virtuosity-above-all spell and try to learn more from Satriani and Vai as far as using those abilities more creatively go.
