The playground is great for kids. We love this place and would highly recommend it. We have stayed before a number of times but every time we go it keeps improving. As the sun goes down, fire up a barbecue and enjoy!
There are very few showers 5 each for men and women and even though we went in August and was not busy the toilets and showers were filthy especially in the womens block and with cool water every time we used it. Becklands has been farmed organically by two generations of the same family for fifty eight years and lies in the west of the Marshwood Vale famed for its wild flowers, narrow lanes, traditional hedges and patchwork fields. It is an amazing place to stay, with every facility provided, lots of extra personal touches, and immaculately clean. Blackland Farm specialises in providing great value, exciting and adventurous residential experiences for young people. We enjoyed the walks by the fishing lakes and to the Royal Oak Pub. Children can let off steam in the play park, allowing the adults to sit back and unwind. If it wasn't for the price (£40 per night for a family of 4) and the basic, few and filthy facilities it might have gained another star.The location is lovely with wood, lots of fields and lakes for kids to explore and camping for tents looks lovely in the fields away from the main field. The farm boasts over a hundred different wild flowers and some 47 species of bird in addition to badgers, buzzards, wild pheasants, foxes and rabbits. Jas the site warden works incredibly hard . The site shop is very well stocked and reasonable .

The grounds are stunning with a picturesque lake and fields to wander. Had a lovely few days at Blacklands . Even though my children are teenagers they enjoyed it. On a positive note also appeared fairly relaxed and not too regimented about where to pitch. Pub 5mins walk. We were in a caravan so the only place to pitch the caravan with electric is in the main filed with the play park in the middle. The kids park has grown and has some great things for a mix of ages. . Blacklands Caravan and Camping is a friendly, family run campsite set in oak enclosed meadows in the heart of the picturesque Sussex countryside. Lots of space in the bottom fields and still very close to the facilities. The site is large and well maintained . They are very basic too and disappointing for what is the most expensive site we have stayed on.Maybe tents are significantly cheaper so would not recommend for a caravan visit unless using the vans facilities for showering.
