Because of that - the entrance delay - they did not check our tickets (nobody was at the gates any way) so whoever wanted to enter the stadium - with NO ticket - could by all means enter.
It Was an amazing show. Jabs turns 62 this October, bandleader Rudolf Schenker has just had his 68th birthday and Meine is 70 next May. They made as feel good and they carried as away! The guys were happy, energetic and generous. When entered the stadium there were AGAIN nobody to escort or show us to our seats, with limited lighting, and when we FINALLY found our seats there were people seating already refusing to get up - since they told us that people from the organisation told them to seat WHEREVER they wished, since there was no time to seat them and obviously without entry control we were outnumbered - and spend about 30 minutes trying to convince them for the obvious: to get up and let us seat on our NUMBERED seats, while searching for SOMEONE from the production company to assist.
The only time I have enjoyed a show there is when buying VIP front and Center seats and even then there security is the worst.
“We always went out there feeling like our parents’ generation was at war with the rest of the world. And now we are back to what we developed in the eighties.”.
Despite their age, the musical ability that the band members possess is applaudable. Scorpions is not playing near you. It was in 2016 that stories started to appear about Michael’s “mistrust” of the Scorpions, for whom he played lead guitar in the early days, accusing them of “fooling people” by carrying on touring after their farewell concerts and accusing his elder brother of not giving him the credit he’s due for his contribution to Scorpions’ 70s albums. “We always say as long as the Rolling Stones can do it, we can do it,” guitarist Matthias Jabs says, laughing.

Wailing guitar riffs and solos, thundering rhythms, and of course Klaus Meine's signature, crystal clear, high tenor voice soaring across the arena…Tonight the teenage boy in me returned for one last concert with my favorite band ever.”“The Scorps sounded AWESOME and the energy was AWESOME. Of course, for whoever was touring in the eighties, drugs were around everywhere, and Scorpions were no exception.
Mikkey Dee, the new drummer, is a great and welcome addition to the band.
The show of the concert was great, but we didn't really see the collusion of the band with the symphonic orchestra. Then you try something different, and ten years later they tell you the eighties were the greatest.
10+ for entertainment value! I learned against the rail against the stage with the aisle behind me and never was told to leave the area and neither was anyone who paid $49 for baxkrow seats. The Scorpions are touring the world in 2010 as part of their farewell to fans.

Un concerto straordinariamente muscolare, un'ora e quaranta minuti di chitarre accompagnate dall'inconfondibile voce di Klaus Meine e dalle martellanti percussioni di James Kottak.
The organization was not good.
It was great seeing Kallimarmaro full, from people who came to enjoy Scorpions! As for Schenker (“Mister Fitness”, as the singer calls him), he has yoga and meditation these days to keep him on the straight and narrow. After 50 years on the road, the Scorp are still one of the greastest band in history.
I can only say for myself, but when I lost my voice in the early eighties around the time of the Blackout album, and then got cured and could sing again, for me to fuck it all up again with drugs was no option at all.”. I am so happy the Scorpions came to the US; they are awesome!!
Join Songkick They made the whole experience very intimate and personal. We are more like an eighties band than we are a seventies band; the Uli period is too different. Talking of love… Presumably the Scorpions’ days of amorous (and, for that matter, narcotic) misadventures on the road are long gone? Best show I have ever seen.
Since I joined, the band found their style, the one that made them internationally successful, because it was more commercial. I’d love to do a meet and greet next time!
